Economic Policy of Iran

The economic policy of current president and his team focuses on the long-term economic development. Despite disruptive and sudden decisions of former president, current team’s process of decision making tends to make market calm and far from excited movements.

Meanwhile, as economy of Iran suffers from stagflation, it seems the first priority of government is to decrease inflation in order to increase consumer’s purchasing power, and then change its policies to anti-recession decisions.

 

  • Increasing the purchasing power of the public and economic growth.
  • Raising sufficient funds.
  • Implementation of the general policies of 44th Principle of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which aims at moving economy toward more freedom and private based economy.
  • Improving the business environment in the short term.
